Back home to the UK to see the family and a special trip to Lindisfarne. A place I haven't been to for years, but always close to my heart. The sense of history, spectacular scenery and the spiritual feel makes this small island very special.

Seeing all the black swans on the lake was wonderful and very restful. Especially when they all took flight at the same time!

Hot Hot Hot!

This week has been a real test with temperatures over 40 degrees for five continuous days. At Least the sea breezes kicked in the evening and the last two nights we have had an amazing lightening show. I took these pictures of the moon last night.

Summer Solstice

I'm a bit late posting for the solstice but these photos of the sky last night were amazing. The birds of paradise were standing out with a pink glow from the failing light!
